A culture of welcome and hospitality.
DCM, Abbey Street Methodist Church celebrating our designation as a “Church of Sanctuary” under the auspices of “Places of Sanctuary, Ireland”
Our designation as Church of Sanctuary recognises the congregation’s work in creating a culture of welcome and hospitality towards asylum seekers and refugees who have come to Ireland.
In the service we also challenged ourselves to renew our efforts so that anyone who has travelled from another country and is looking for a warm and supportive welcome, might find it with us.
