DCM Services
Dublin Central Mission (DCM) is a part of the Dublin District of the Methodist Church in Ireland and one of five Methodist city missions on the island of Ireland. Our vision is to reflect God’s love by welcoming, serving and supporting those who need it most.
Following the ministry example of Jesus we strive to ensure that the groups of people we relate to are always treated as individuals, whether that be in church, in the city centre or in our services to the older person.

Community Projects
DCM Social Housing Pilot 2025-2027
We are delighted to be partnering with Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, HSE and Changing Lives DLR on a pilot project in Social Housing for the elderly in the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown catchment.
This exciting project offers residents in 3 Council Housing Sites in the county, support services that will enrich their lives including additional care as residents needs change and socialisation/activity programmes.
We believe that the older person has the right to stay in their home as long as they can to age in place in their community. We are experts at supported independent living having delivered services in Dublin for over 50 years.

Every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening we run the DCM Homeless Ministry. This service operates fully on a volunteer basis. We go out in teams of 3-4, up to 4 nights a week and offer support to those who are homeless on the streets in Dublin 1 and Dublin 2.
On our evening runs we bring a hot drink, food, clothes and toiletries to those we meet. Sometimes its just a kind word that someone needs. We welcome new volunteers for this programme.
Training and support: Ongoing training and support is given to all our volunteers. If you would like to find out more or provide support in any way please get in touch.
