DCM Communities
Dublin Central Mission (DCM) is a part of the Dublin District of the Methodist Church in Ireland and one of five Methodist city missions on the island of Ireland. Our vision is to reflect God’s love by welcoming, serving and supporting those who need it most.
Following the ministry example of Jesus we strive to ensure that the groups of people we relate to are always treated as individuals, whether that be in church, in the city centre or in our services to the older person.

Church and social action centre.
Based in lower Abbey street, the congregation gathers here to worship and share community. We also have programmes and activities open to all. Abbey Street Methodist Centre facilitates self help groups. DCM has been expressing it’s commitment for over 120 years.
The social ministries have grown, making a positive contribution through high quality services and safe places.
Homeless Ministry
Every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening volunteers run the DCM Homeless Ministry. Bags of tea, soup, sandwiches, chocolate bars, fruit, jumpers, socks and gloves are prepared.
We pray together and then go out in teams of three to offer love, encouragement and practical help to those who are sleeping on the streets in and around Abbey Street. Ongoing training and support is given to all our volunteers.
If you would like to find out more or provide support in any way please get in touch.
