DCM Services
Dublin Central Mission (DCM) is a part of the Dublin District of the Methodist Church in Ireland and one of five Methodist city missions on the island of Ireland. Our vision is to reflect God’s love by welcoming, serving and supporting those who need it most.
Following the ministry example of Jesus we strive to ensure that the groups of people we relate to are always treated as individuals, whether that be in church, in the city centre or in our services to the older person.

There are a wide range of social enterprises in Ireland and many organisations in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown already operate under this model in sectors including transport, media, sports / recreation and the arts to name just a few.
The joint Aims are to raise awareness and encourage local community leaders and private individuals to explore setting up a social enterprise to support the development and growth of a social enterprise culture in Dún Laoghaire Rathdown.
Every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening we run the DCM Homeless Ministry. This service operates fully on a volunteer basis. We go out in teams of 3-4, up to 4 nights a week and offer support to those who are homeless on the streets in Dublin 1 and Dublin 2.
On our evening runs we bring a hot drink, food, clothes and toiletries to those we meet. Sometimes its just a kind word that someone needs. We welcome new volunteers for this programme.
Training and support: Ongoing training and support is given to all our volunteers. If you would like to find out more or provide support in any way please get in touch.
‘Warm Wednesdays’ provide struggling households with a warm and loving environment, hot food and drinks, a place to enjoy themselves and more! The aim of the programme is to provide love and support to anyone in need of it and if you or your family wish to drop by, you are more than welcome to.
The programme includes serving hot food and drinks from 9am to 2pm.
From 2pm biscuits and homemade cakes will be free for any guests to take. All of this is, of course, completely complimentary!

English and Art Classes
If you want to communicate better or need to improve your English for work or study we can help. We run English language classes weekly in our City Centre Location. DCM also provide Art Classes. Several studies have highlighted art classes link the aesthetic sense to a notable increase in the generally positive mood of people. It improves their physical and psychological well-being.
Offering students the opportunity to create art allows them to access their need to express themselves. Art helps reduce stress, improve memory, and develop a sense of being connected to the world around us.
