Margaretholme Independent Living
DCM provides independent living facilities at Margaretholme, in Sandymount Village. Opening its doors in 1965 we were one of the first purpose built independent living complexes in Ireland. This service caters for over 40 residents to enjoy living independently but in a supported, caring environment. Our aim is to nuture a friendly cheerful and safe community that our residents are happy to call “home” and where everyone is treated with warmth and respect. We have recently added new services to expand our support team to include HealthCare Assistants. This has enabled our residents to stay in their homes for longer promoting aging in place and avoiding hospital transfer and nursing home admission.

A comfortable & inviting Home
A comfortable & inviting Home
Margaretholme is located in the heart of Sandymount Village and consists of one or two bedroom bungalows or apartments set out in mature gardens.
Our service is tailored for active independent adults who want to live independently but as part of a supportive community.
We place great emphasis on creating positive experiences where residents can make friends and lead enriched lives.
Community Activities
We provide a full calendar of activities throughout the year in our service. We regularly engage with residents to get feedback on activities and outings they would like to partake in. A recently formed music group at Margaretholme is a great success and the group have performed in our other services. We also encourage residents to contribute to content for our DCM newsletter which is published twice annually.
